In Our Own Words: "Clarifying Wedding Pros Roles for More Successful Events!"

I am honored, excited and a little nervous to be moderting a pannel at The Love Union next week at 501 Union in Brooklyn!  A group of talented wedding pros (old friends and new!) will be discussing how we can all work together more effectively moving forward. For the most part, when I am hired for month of coordination and I am working with wedding vendors that are new to me, I have great luck and our collaboration is sucessful. However, sometimes that is not the case or even if the end result is good, getting there can be a bumpy road. We all have a common goal but sometimes our paths cross in the process. On Monday, Novermber 13, we are going to have a conversation that is hopefully productive, informative and may even be entertaining for all that attend. Did I mention our audience is a sold out room of our esteemed peers!?  If you have any "funny" or outrageous stories about working with new vendors on a wedding day, please share and maybe we'll incorporate them into our conversation if appropriate.

Here's the offical word about our panel discussion:

"One of the fun things about the Love Union is we get to explore the intersections between our roles in the industry. And though our goal is common (happy clients!), there can sometimes be overlap, conflict, and confusion that can be minimized with a better understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities. We are all in this together!

Join Tammy Golson Fallon, founder of Tammy Golson Events for a discussion between florist Gabrielle Aronas (G! Designs), venue coordinators Claire Mahler (501 Union) and Susan Liang (The Green Building), photographer Amber Gress, Founder & Director of MG Hair & Makeup Megan Garmers, and Holly Sheppard, owner of  Fig & Pig Catering as they reveal some of the biggest misconceptions about their role in the wedding, pet peeves when working with other vendors, and the one thing they wish their colleagues knew about their job!
