Real Wedding: Best Wedding Detail 2009

Kristen and Kevin were married at Irvington Presbyterian Church in Irvington, New York.

The church's florist provided these sweet cones of flowers for each pew.

The groom's parents looked on as the couple shared poems and exchanged wedding vows. Kristen chose poem Carry Your Heart With Me by E. E. Cummings and Kevin recited Love by Roy Croft.

The newlyweds were greeted by their guests who tossed petals as the couple exited the church.

The interior and exterior of the church was stunning, the couple had a receiving line outside after the ceremony.

The groom is an antique dealer. He restored this car, so he and his bride could arrive at the reception in style.

Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, New York was the setting for this fantastic reception.

The table names cards are one of my favorite details of all time. The story and the sentiment behind them contribute to my love of these.

The bride lived in Belgium and the groom lived in New York. Her position at a luxury hotel company encouraged the couple to rendezvous in some of the most fantastic places in the world, when their schedules allowed them time together.

The groom's father (pictured earlier in this post) is a retired graphic designer. When it was decided that he would create these, Kristen sent him pictures, by e-mail, of each location they had visited for inspiration and authenticity. The retired couple could not open the attachments. The groom's mother went to the public library to research each location so that her husband would be able to create these beautiful, handmade and very artistic table name cards. The detail in each one is incredible, down to the grooms glasses and the brides dark curly hair.

The flowers were spectacular, thanks to Daniel Florals.

The tent was by Cove Tent Company.

Rob Kelley of DJ Gaza had guests dancing late in to the night.

The cake was a red velvet masterpiece, I love when couples stay true to their flavor palates.

A dress change and sparkler send off.

This couple was wonderful to work with. I loved their color, decor and design choices! I was thrilled to coordinate their day. Thanks to David Willems for allowing me to share these photos with you.

Congratulations Kristen and Kevin!
