Many of you were touched by and followed the story of the event I planned in Portsmouth, New Hampshire last summer. It was a vow renewal between Sarah and her husband Colin. His military career took the young family on adventures all over the United States and her stage four cancer diagnosis led them to Wish Upon a Wedding, an organization that grants wishes for couples facing terminal illness. I was thrilled to help coordinate a beautiful day for Sarah and Colin and their families.
I am so sad to report that Sarah passed away on June 29, 2014.
A memorial celebration of Sarah’s inspirational life will be held at
U.S. Coast Guard Station Portsmouth Harbor on July 19. The event will be
an open event pot-luck picnic, from 1 to 5 pm. Remembrance services
commence at 1pm.
