Last Friday Amy DeGiulio of
Sugar Flower Shop and Project Runway alum
Emmett McCarthy co-hosted a beautiful event to kick of bridal fashion week. This sweet soiree took place in the garden of Emmett's boutique on charming Elizabeth Street in Soho. It was a genuinely collaborative effort that I was proud to partake in.

The bridal gowns were by
Janet Nelson Kumar. Please take note the flower design back drop.

Amy carved the flower design out of cardboard via
cardboard designs. Guests were asked to select a colored pieces of paper, write a wish on it, roll it up and tuck it in one of the vacant vessels to enhance the design. I love this idea and creative alternative to a traditional guest book. It would be great for weddings, graduation, anniversary or even first birthdays. You can size them to fit your special event.

The flowers were by
Castle & Pierpont Floral Design.

Meet my new wedding industry friends: Kimberly of
Inspired Goodness, Anni of
NYC Faces and Juliet of
Poppies and Posies.
